Lisa Gegare

Lisa Gegare is a lifelong resident of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She works with various art forms, including painting, photography, cyanotype, and fiber art. With over a year of experience creating cyanotypes, she skillfully uses sunlight as an alternative to the traditional darkroom for printing. Her passion for photography aligns with this process. Notably, Lisa's scientific approach is evident in her meticulous tracking of ultraviolet indexes and precise formulation of chemicals for substrate treatment. Her photos are made into negatives by printing them on transparencies. To add color to her prints, she often uses various paints and pigments.  She finds her muse in the beauty of nature, intricate patterns, captivating faces, and the delightful whimsy of humor.
